Yesterday I started running WSJT-X WSPR using my ICOM-7300 at 5W feeding a multi band OCF dipole on a ridge 400M above the Pacific with a clear view to the horizon to the north and east. I believe I may be the only SW WSPR beacon currently in operation on the Hawaiian Islands and have spotted a couple of 40M ZU beacons 12000Km away. I am logging many more spots than I am receiving so even though I measure <2:1 SWR on most bands, perhaps my transmit coax losses are higher than one would wish. Hopefully my location adds a new set of propagation paths to the database.
