Now I changed band from 30m to 20m with my Raspberry Pi (2B).
After a BPF and ATT there is 10mW going to my vertical.

I find out that 4 mW on 30 meter will give less reports, in my case, and up till 1800 km.
With 17 mW it goes to 17000 km (VK)
So now I go to 10 mW with my Raspberry Pi on 30 meter into a 10 meter vertical.

It look like that my vertical works much better than my horizontal wire.
Becouse of that I now make 6 db less power.
So for now: Raspberrry Pi with 4 mW in a 10 meter long vertical on 30 meter.

In previous post you can see that I was using a wireantenna of 10 meter long horizontal to the backyard.
Now I use a vertical of 10 meter with a CG-3000 antennatuner in the backyard.
The rest, a Raspberry Pi (2B), the BPF and the output of 17 mW is the same.
Lets see if I can find the difference.

Sinds a week I am WhiSPeRing with a Raspberry Pi(B2) on 30 meter.

The power after the BPF is 17 mW and that goes to a wireantenna of abt. 10 meter long.
The wire start at a window on my roof (abt. 7 meter) and goes to the back of my garden (abt. 3 meter).
At the feedpoint there is a sort of impedancetransformer.
There is no rocket science in this setup.

The homebrew beacon of Gernot, OE1IFM, has been running here for abt 2 months with no problems.
I started with 1 Watt and later on with 0.5 Watt.
The used antennas were: wire 7 meter (non-resonant), coax-trap dipole 80/40 meter and a coax-trap dipole 30/17/12 meter.
The most spots gave the 80/40 dipole (500-1000/day) of course mostly on 80 and 40 meter.
Gernot tolled me he has new plans with the beacon.
And if that will happen, he may tell it himselve.

Already a long time the beacon of Gernot, OE1IFM is running here with 0.5 Watt.
The used bands are 80 , 40 , 30 , 20 , 17 , 15 , 12 and 10 meter.
The last weeks it was on a trap-dipole for 40 and 80 meter.
Sinds yesterday (11-1-2010) I switch to trap-dipole for 30 , 17 and 12 meter.
So now I get less reports on 40 and 80 and more on 30 17 and 12 meter.

A unknown Ham from South Korea in Mongolia on 2 meter !!!

Yesterday I started to use the MEPT-beacon, the one Gernot, OE1IFM has build.
Purpose is to provide Gernot input to his wonderful beacon project.
We have long conversations to make it even better.
So far it is TX-ing on 80,40,30,20,17,15,12 and 10 meters with 1 Watt in a horizontal wire of 7 meters.
The antenna is far from ideal and has a bad VSWR.
The results of the first 24 hours: more than 550 spots, no spots on 12m, mostly Europe├źn stations, some stations from America and later even from Australia.

As far as I did understood (TY1MS has no internet acces), the WSPR-beacon make some interference.
Thats why the WSPR-beacon is not always on, and the conditions are poor.
The first 18 spots was with 1 Watt, the rest with 5 Watt.
Lets hope that they have better conditions and can help many stations with a new country and more WSPR spots.

In close cooporation between the DAGOE Foundation, Mercy Ships and 4 Dutch radio amateurs a new DX-pedition is on its way. They will visit Benin from October 7th untill October 30st. The team expect to be on air from October 10th-27th from the village Grand Popo (JJ06VG) and will also participate in the CQWW SSB 2009. The team set the following goals and will be able to reach these goals with help of the radio amateur community worldwide:

When I adjust the time with the "Dsec"-button it change somtines the report-time from even to uneven.
