Using wspr on an ACER aspire ONE

Hello Guys,
I am trying to use wspr on an ACER aspire ONE with the following:

: windows XP ..... netbook variant?
: FT-897D
: Signalink USB ..... I have checked the jumpers with the signalink site and they are set correctly
: a comport checker indicates that I have the correct USB selected in the "options" menu

Problems seen:
: the ptt is not triggered
: the following errors come up in the wspr "back panel"

When I try to set the RX volume control I get the following errors:

Exception in Tinkter callback
traceback :
File "C:\kijt\svn\wsjt\\wspr\buildwspr\out1.pyz/Tkinter, line 1345. in _call_
File"", line 423, in rx_volume
OSError: cannot find C:\Program Fles\Quicktime\QTSystem\sndvol32.exe

and this error when I try to set TX volume control

Exception in Tinkter callback
traceback :
File "C:\kijt\svn\wsjt\\wspr\buildwspr\out1.pyz/Tkinter, line 1345. in _call_
File"", line 433, in tx_volume
OSError: cannot find C:\Program Fles\Quicktime\QTSystem\sndvol32.exe

I have looked in the QT folder and no, sndvo132.exe is not there. A search on the internet does not give me any clues as to what it is or does.

a search of the computer files reveals no copies of sndvol32.exe

I do not have a disk to install sndvol32.exe and XP comes pre-installed with no disk

Any clues as to what all this means and how to solve it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
