Excel macro problem, processing entire spot history for selective callsigns, etc

I am working on a macro that reads all of the spot csv files and produces a csv with the desired spots. (Such as a single reporter or a single spotted callsign) After I open the csv file, I use "input # " to read the file, one record at a time. However, excel has a problem with the "c/r" that is at the end of each record such that it inputs the version AND the next spotid as if it were one item of data. Here is an example of the Input and the resulting Printout of the results:

MACRO:

Input #1, spotid, timestamp, reporter, reportergrid, snr, freq, callsign, grid, power, drift, km, az, band, version
Debug.Print spotid, timestamp, reporter, reportergrid, snr, freq, callsign, grid, power, drift, km, az, band, version

RESULTS:

36032101 1288372080 KD6QM DM41vj -14 14.097023 AA7XC EM12ns 27 0 1265 267 14 2.0_r1714
38447125

Notice the spotid of the next record is appended to the version. It appears to me that excel is reading the "c/r" as data in the version instead of treating it as a record terminator.

I would appreciate any ideas that might help me resolve this problem...

Thanks,
