WSPR 4.0 and WSJT-X crash in Windows 10 64 bit

For quite some time now I have been having loads of hassle with WSJT-X and WSPR 4.0 crashing and not working properly.

My computer is an Intel i7 3770k with 32Gb of Ram and Windows 10 64 bit.

The radio is a Yaesu FT817ND connected to the computer via a Signalink USB interface and using VOX for PTT control.

I have been trying to run WSJT-X and this software works for a certain length of time and then the bandscope freezes and the software no longer works properly.
The clock on the software is still working but nothing else is functioning.

I then tried to use WSPR 4.0 in the hope that it would be more reliable. After around 3 hours that also crashes and Windows 10 closes the program completely.

In the error log it shows the following.....

wspr.exe
0.0.0.0
52673a84
MSVCR100.dll
10.0.40219.325
4df2be1e
40000015
0008d6fd
1354
01d26c9136588240
C:\Program Files (x86)\WSPR\bin\wspr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCR100.dll
db758acb-7b13-457d-aa98-4e4ccfe83acf

I'm now at a total loss and have had to give up and switch WSPR off as it's just not working 100%. It's annoying to find everytime I check, that the program has crashed again.

Any help and advice would be greatly welcomed.
