I am interested in learning why it might be that so often, the number of stations I am 'hearing' is at least twice the number of stations I am being 'heard by'.
I am on the Big Island of Hawaii. Salt water in all directions for several thousand miles. My antenna on 40 meters is a G5RV Jr. (52' from end to end. Center fed) it is 52' above ground.
Either my Kenwood TS-590s is an incredible receiver, and I am just hearing a lot of weak signals, or my antenna is not radiating, or perhaps because I am so remote, I am being drowned out by closer stations.
Anyway, I would love to hear from other stations that are experiencing this phenomenon.
