Magnetic loop antenna. Horizontal or vertical for WSPR?

Hi all.

I am using a Wellbrook 1 metre loop to receive WSPR between 630M and 10M. I know that one of the advantages of the magnetic loop is that it has quite a sharp null, and can so be used to eliminate interference. But in the case of WSPR, where I am looking for signals from all over the world simultaneously, would it make sense to hang it with the plane of the loop horizontal? It's hung from the rafters in my attic at present, with the plane of the loop pointing pretty close to North-South.

(Actually, I fried the Wellbrook amp by transmitting into it - I am now using the excellent Wellgood amplifier from George Smart - recommended - just google for it.)
